So Uber, another year has come and gone, and are you any different? Sure you're a year older, but what else has changed in your life? Did you find love? Lose love? Did you move into a new place? Anyone close to you die? Any new members come into your family?

1. Best Movie you saw in the theater: Thank You for Smoking (I dont go very often- this is the only good one I remember)
2. Worst Movie you saw in the theater: Can't remember
3. Best older Movie you discovered this year: no sé
4. Favorite song of 2006: written in '06? No idea.
5. Favorite older band you finally got around to listening to and loved: Kansas haha

7. New Hobby started in 06: I dont have hobbies...
8. Old Habit dropped in 06: I didnt drop any, but now smoke a lot more than I did before leaving
the States. Oh wait, I stopped taking pills.
9. Do you have the same "best friend" that you did a year ago: Yes
10. Your personal 2006 catchphrase: idk. In Spain, probably 'esto no es giri- soy yo.' It works
to explain why I eat yogurt with a fork, wear sandals in winter, etc.
11. Weight gain/loss: lost 5ish lbs.
12. iTunes playlist count circa 12/28/05: Didn't have one
13. iTunes playlist count presently: 2050 songs
14. Did you change jobs? If so, for the better or worse: I'm a student, but school in Spain is
better than school in the US.
15. Did you find love or lose love, or do you remain in love or in the hunt: I remain indifferent
16. What drugs have you done in 2006: Cigarettes, alcohol, pot, vicodins, oxycontin, ambiens, valiums. Maybe a few others.
17. Not counting ubersite, whats another website you frequented too much this year: Really just Übersite
18. New foods you tried in 2006: All this Spanish food.
19. Did someone you know die? Yes- see http://www.ubersite.com/m/91281 . Also, my friend's dad died right before I left, but I didn't know him.
20. Is there a new baby in your world? No
21. What have you done to "help" the world: I went to the rally to end genocide in darfur. It was the one in DC on April 30 where George Clooney and Elie Wiesel spoke.
22. What have you done to "hurt" the world: Further killed the atmosphere?
23. Were you arrested/ticketed, please explain: No
24. Has an amazing thing happenend in your life this year: Living in Spain has been pretty awesome.
25. Something awful occur to you in 2006: M. dying on Thanksgiving was pretty bad, especially considering that I couldn't go to his funeral and hadn't seen him since September.
26. How was your birthday this year: It was all right. I was in Italy with my extended family and wanted to renounce my entire bloodline, but whatevs.
27. Best party attended in 2006: Hm- either this party my best friend had in her house in June or the one on December 21 when I spent all night in the discotecas with my classmates.
28. Favorite stand up comic of 2006: Meh, no one.
29. Have you lost contact with any close friends: Close friends, no, but I'm gradually losing contact with many acquaintances.
30. Favorite new TV show: Don't know, haven't seen any new ones this season.
31. Did you get a new Wii/PS3/Xbox360? If so, was it worth it?: No.
32. Did you keep or break your 2006 New Years resolution: Either I don't remember mine, or I didn't make one.
33. Did you travel? Where to: Yes. I went to Granada/ St. Vincent and the Grenadines/ other Carribean islands, Italy (Tuscany), and moved to Salamanca, Spain for 5 months.
34. Did you get a new pet or did a pet die this year: Well, there was an incident with a wild bird in my host family's house, but other than that, no.
35. Did you masturbate more or less in 2006 than 2005: Probably about the same.
36. Are you bored of this survey yet? Just a touch, but I was bored before, too.

i don't really know what to say about this year.
i made a lot of money. came home from Baghdad in one piece. bought a better car. moved to Chicago. fucked Lisa silly. made some new friends. had a good friend finally come home that i missed. got to spend more time with my family. accomplished some very big goals that i am proud of myself for.
on the other hand...
still out of shape. broke up with Lisa. tired of traveling so much. miss having routine in my life.

2006, hmm, there have been too many incredible things in my life this year to name them all but i'll try to jot some down.
1) i bought new shoes
2) my new car is no longer new
3) what's her name has a new name
4) cheese
5) discovered that spellunking is more interesting as a word than an activity
6) f you stock market
7) "and the new mortgage payment is...."
8) cashed at wsop 2006 and it wasn't enough to cover the entry fee (f uncle sam too)
9) am currently watching the exorcist
10) planning on doing something really cool next year but not sure what's cool anymore

Tool: have all the tool albums. saw them live @ roseland in 97, one of best concerts i've ever seen. Aenima is by far my favorite. not so into their latest few albums, though, again, i have them all
King Crimson : decent.
Atmosphere : i'll check it out.
Talib Kweli : h's cool
Clutch : clutch is great!!elephant riders, and escape prison planet are classic tunes. careful with that mic, their "big" single, is not a great representation of them, but still cool.

seems like you like the metal. i like my older 80's metal. and some 90's stuff. as for newer, system of a down is alright, but i gotta be in a certain mood to rock it.
though i gotta say, if i had to stick to a single genre of music, I'm an indie rock/alternative man. though I can have intelligent conversations about most other types of music (Soul, Hip Hop, coldies, classic rock,,,etc.) I'm not toooo crazy about dance music/drumbass or country really.

Tool (Aenima for best balance, Undertow for harder music, Lateralus for more prog, 10,000 Days is kind of a lesser Aenima, those are all albums...its definitely worth downloading it all)
King Crimson (In the Court of King Crimson is a classic)
Atmosphere (solid 2 man rap group from Minnesota of all places...Lucy Ford and Seven's Travels are my favorite of his records)
Talib Kweli (another solid rapper, A Beautiful Struggle)
Clutch (Best unheard of band I know. Great mix of Southern, Classic and Stoner rock. Pure Rock Fury, Blast Tyrant and Robot Hive/Exodus are all worth downloading)
10 Years (kind of emo rock but much better songwriting, The Autumn Effect)
I really hate the new iPod culture of only downloading singles and/or stuff heard of the radio. Some of the best songs off great albums are the ones that aren't there, especially for Tool.
