I hear the French typically drink with lunch and dinner, daily. (Yes, I know Canadians are not "the French," thank you.) So they're basically buzzed all day, every day. Does this contribute to their political apathy?

so what happens if quebec becomes its own country. how the hell are they going to fund themselves since they'll lose all of canadia's money and support?
what do they have for a potential gdp?

I'm not sure - but I have heard they have a project underway to address this:
Supposedly, a machine is being built by Bombardier (in cooperation with the Montreal Canadiens hockey club) under the direction of the Bloq Quebecois Commande Haute ("High Command").
This machine will take a few resources common to Quebec - Attitude/Elitism and Strippers. These resources, when combined with a form of fusion, produce raw gold bouillon.
(Or so I hear)
