Ok, this is definitely one you need prior information on.
Budd Dwyer was Pennsylvania's state treasurer, and was convincted of bribery in 1989. He still maintained that he was innoncent, though, and on the day he was to be formally sentenced (and thus automatically lose his job) he called a press conference, presumably to resign. Instead he talks for awhile, then hands out some envelopes to one of his friends, then takes a gun out of another envelope.There's a momentary ruckus, and then Budd Dwyer shot himself. This was on LIVE television broadcast throughout Pennsylvania.
Neat trivia? This event is what cause the AP to switch to color photographs for ALL events. People wanted color photographs of the incident, but because it had only been on PA interest at the tmie, the AP had only used black and white photography.
Anyway, watch me now as I make fun of suicide. I'm such a dick.

The rush of blood and Stuff that comes out of his head has always horrified me a little bit. I don't know what it is about it that's so "Eyurgh"-inducing, but it's a bit stomach-turning. Maybe it's how it looks so thick, but is coming out so fast and liquidy-looking. Or, uhm, something. Point is, I've got some form of vomit-inducing illness right now, and so I'm not watching the video of it that I have saved somewhere.

I've seen the high qquality version, and it's not exactly gorey. I don't typically watch these snuff films, but I thought this one was interesting just because it was done on live teleiviosn in front of a crowded room that was going crazy at the time. I think his last words were something like "Step back, this-... this will hurt someone."
