Sorry to disappoint you - this isn't about muff guffs. Unfortunately though, you probably wouldn't bother to read it if I called it something reasonble. And, since I've already been hassled for heat-inducing titles, I don't care if I do anymore. So thats good.
This Wednesday the 6th July, representatives from the G8 nations of the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada and Russia are meeting in Gleneagles in Scotland to discuss various issues - with global poverty amongst them. The Make Poverty History coalition is calling on people to let their voices be heard and let the G8 leaders know that poverty is higher on people's priority list than their actions would suggest. Make Poverty History support;

* More and better aid

AdamDidIt2U is correct. At any rate, it's not very effective to ask the bastards nicely to give things they don't need; it's up to you to force their hand by hitting their bottom line, and dammit if that takes mass strikes then it takes mass strikes.

I work two jobs 65-70 hours a week, all dealing first hand with the public, just to keep my shit afloat. And yes, I've been to the point where the lack of a nickle meant that I didn't eat that night, not even a Little Debbie cake. I'm finally to the point where I can quit one of my jobs in a couple of months and still be comfortable while going to school.
Don't promise me muff and give me poverty.

Why do we have to concern ourselves with our own povery first? They're people just like you and me - since we're the ones that have put them in this position, we can bloody well help get them out of it.

When those multi bajillionaires give away all thier excess lexus trucks and secluded million dollar mansions in in effort to eradicate poverty, then I might consider it. The fact that each of them is probably wearing clothes that cost more than a months worth of my salary pretty much makes them horrible spokes people

Restore colonialism.
These people have PROVEN that they are incapable of self-governance.
Throwing MORE money at them will not fix anything. Look at Zimbabwe, they are fucking imploding right now as we speak.
