Closure is a funny thing. Often sought, seldom acquired, the need for closure, the need to bring an idea to conclusion seems in some ways contrary to human nature. Nevertheless, it is a part of human nature, and I cannot deny the need in myself.
Why do we seek the end? Why give up the joy and excitement of anticipation, give up the power of hope, give up the very essence of what makes us feel most ALIVE for an end that inevitably brings......nothingness. We feel that nothingness, whether it is in the form of post-homicidal letdown, or post-Star Wars depression.
C'mon, when Episode 3 cut to a starry backdrop, with "Directed by George Lucas" in bright blue letters, did any of you truly feel satisfaction? Did any of you become zen, feel:
"Ahhhhh.....it is finished"
and be totally at peace as your body, mind, and soul transformed into pure spirit energy?

But this post isn't about Star Wars. It is about something far more personal than galaxies far, far away.
This is about my babies.
My babies were stolen from me. Kidnapped. Held ransom. A crime commited by one of our very own.
Creepfirebombing.
I told him I would pay him. I told him I didn't care about the money, I just wanted my babies back unscathed and unhurt.
I love my babies dearly. I love my babies so much that I clone them. I clone each and every one of them so that if one them was ever to be hurt or killed, it could be replaced. Then I seal up my original babies in their protective plastic containers to be left unspoiled, as I clothe, clean, and play with all of the little clones. I make them sing. And they all have such lovely voices. I'm happy when I play with most of them. But some, just a few.....I like to play with when I'm angry.
And then I play with my little dark ones and I'm no angry any more.
Ahhh...such a loving relationship I have with my babies.
And I want them back.
Yes, I can simply clone the ones I have held in stasis again, but that is all very time-consuming and expensive. I will do it, but only if I have to.
So, Creep. I want my babies. But what I really need.....is closure. I need to know if I will every see my babies again, or if I should move on and clone some more.
Please, Dan, please. Tell me the fate of my cds. Where does it all end?

On a bittersweet note, I got fired today so I'll have plenty of time to send those to you.
