In Response To The Negative Feedback On "My Frist Post - Music" - My Rebuttal (1937 hits)

Hi everyone, its Alren again, and I have decided I needed to post a rebuttal to the unintelligible users who bombarded my last post with their moronic comments, and who obviously require further explanation of my post. Putting aside the comments such as "-2 die" and "No Comment", as well as other similar comments, I felt a lot of you misunderstood the point I was trying to get across.
First of all a big misconception was that I was including Blink 182 and Good Charlotte (as well as other similar outfits) in my list of inspirational and great bands/artists. For those who actually read my post, you would realise this is clearly not the case. The point I was making is that in their own right, these bands are quite good; they have some excellent songs and a large fan base, and deserve the accolades they have received. However, the point I was making is they have not influenced music as much as the other bands/artists mentioned in my post. Songs such as "Small things," "Say its not so," "Feeling this" and "Little Things" are all great songs and are really catchy, but unfortunately for the fan base of these bands, their material falls short of the artists I mentioned in my earlier post.
Another sore point was my explanation of Kazaa, its functionality and where it can be obtained from. Please note, on reflection this may have been an error of judgement, but the negative feedback I received for this was clearly unjustified. It was a simple error, which I feel assisted many readers in downloading some great music. Because everyone badgered me for this, I feel the people who were assisted by this were probably too shy to admit it helped them due to the hounding I received. My aim was too simply assist users who may not be as well equipped or experienced at using the "web" as myself.
When writing this I realised I would receive negative feedback, but was unaware of the far reaching extent this would reach. My Slipknot and Metallica comments obviously hit a nerve with some readers, whose name calling and insults did nothing but discredit their arguement and prove my point. To be blunt, these users, with their moronic comments, have done nothing but continue to perpetuate a negative stereotype of their genre.
Also, I would like to apologise to anyone who was offended in any way by my post, due to its foul language in the reviews. I did swear several times myself, which I am apologetic for, but as I mentioned when argueing with the likes of some uber users (I will not mention any names, but I am sure you are aware who I am talking about) it is extremely frustrating to constantly disprove and discredit their arguements, only to have them come back with a childish insult or another ridiculous comment.
Some people also took offence at my list of bands I credited with being influential. All I can say to this is to download some of the mentioned bands/artists material and listen for yourselves. This will more than prove my point. It was obvious that many of you hadn't even heard of the bands I referenced, but due to me being relatively new to this site decided to negatively rate. Also, many people believe just because they don't enjoy a certain bands material they cannot be influential, which is obviously incorrect. As I have mentioned several times over, all of the artists mentioned in my list, but not limited to my list, have had an extreme influence on music today and into the future.
The final problem people seemed to have with my post was my comments with regards to the genre of rap and rnb. Reading the comments I was quite bemused to note that none of you have had any real exposure to either of these genres. Once again, using Kazaa to download some of the artists mentioned in my post will put your arguement to rest. Many of you seem to not perceive Vanilla Ice as influential to this genre. Its obvious that you havent heard any of his material, besides "Ice Baby" which was a huge international hit. Once again I encourage you to expand your musical horizons and look to listen to music outside of the mainstream.
Most of all, I would like to thank all those who commented on the content of the post, and offered constructive criticism. Thank you :) As mentioned in my previous post, please feel free to discuss the content of this post, or to offer constructive criticism.

You spelled the title wrong, you spelled your name wrong, you spelled half the content wrong, and your grammar sucks.
All of this makes your argument infinitely more unintelligable.
If I was you I would write about something with words that are easy to spell, and content that you have a superior understanding over everyone else in.
Like perhaps incest or something of the like.
Don't write about music again, you made me break my radio...
No labelling here though, you told us how much that upsets you..

Its on their website and on the installation notes that they guarantee no spyware.

Answering this on the basis that this is not an alter; you come across as very sheltered and naive.
I have heard all of these bands you quote, they are repeated constantly you could not think anybody does not (shennanigans), they are not the sum of music (not at all) and they have not influenced the best of new music. I call you naive because you have missed out Reggae and Rave (that including Jungle, House n stuff).
You have quoted all these bands and say how they have changed the face of music, now many will say I am wrong, but I feel that the big change in music in the last 20 years has been the progress in making music electronically, beat mixing, turn tabelism and the experiments in rhythm flow. Your bands had nothing to do with this.
If you want to know what has really been going on, download and listen to all of this:
Drum and Bass:
LTJ Bukem (everything), Roni Size (brown paper bag), any Andy C sets, also Aphrodite, DJ Hype,
Jungle:
Remarc, Shy FX, Foul Play,
Hardcore (you will hate this)
Sets by DJ Sy, Force and Styles and Record labels such as: Kniteforce, Slammin Vinyl, Blatent Beats
Reggea:
Beres Hammond, Sanchez, Ghost, Richie Spice Sizla, Warrior King, Glen Washington, Damian "Junior" Gong Marley and of course Bob Marley
Dancehall Ragga:
Elephant man, TOK, Beenie Man, Assasin and Cecile
Not every track by the above is a classic, but they are a great starting point.

Dear Shenanigan
I'm going through your last post again
"Lately I've been listening to a lot of the new music the kids these days like to listen to, and I have noticed that they don't make music like they used to. There are no longer revolutionary and great bands of the 70s and 80s that there used to be. Although I am too young to have been around in this era, I have gone through and listened to some of my parents records and have found some truly great musical compilations."
I think you are wrong. There is revolutionry music being created these days, in all genres of music, including the r&b shite i dont like, it's just i assume you're comparing the old greats, to the new mainstream pap. "The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Queen, ACDC, Ziggy Stardust". All good, but are you saying that this is the only period in history that has spawned creative musicians? That is not only offensive to this generation, but also very ignorant.
"Bands such as Good Charlotte, Blink 182 and Simple Plan, although being great musicians and writers in their own merits, are hard to compare favorably to the bands of years of gone by."
I agree. But that's just a list of short lived mainstream fad bullshite which cannot be used as a comparison.
"However, in the last 15 years since I have been listening to music, there has been one genre of music which has captured everyone's attention. This of course is rap and rnb. Since the foundations of this genre were set by the likes of NWA and Vanilla Ice, this flamboyant style of music has become the forefront of popular culture today. Great acts such as Eminem and his band D12, as well as Jay Z who now collaborates with Linking Park, and many others are now creating great music that will allow this current era to be looked upon for generations to come as a golden age of music."
Blah blah - more mainstream pap. They are artists which cannot be used as a comparison.
"Since the foundations of this genre were set by the likes of NWA and Vanilla Ice" = Your most ignorant statement yet.
"In the last 30 years the face of music has changed and has progressed to a new, different and exciting level. Hopefully you can all adapt and enjoy todays music as I have, and embrace it in a positive manner."
I agree. It's just an unbelieavably patronising statement, and probably the one which has pist most people off. And a little hypocritical given that you only named a few famous oldies and have failed to list any new non mainstream artists.
"Some people also took offence at my list of bands I credited with being influential. All I can say to this is to download some of the mentioned bands/artists material and listen for yourselves"
Where is this list? Other than the oldies that EVERYONE has heard of. Surely not NWA and Vanilla Ice. haha - good one.
"The final problem people seemed to have with my post was my comments with regards to the genre of rap and rnb. Once again I encourage you to expand your musical horizons and look to listen to music outside of the mainstream."
Presumptious and patronising.
and haha - Vanilla Ice. Why i think this is shenanigans.

Dear Funk Boy;
Nothing you have just said has not been previously said in my earlier post, another example of you being mainstream and not being able to think for yourself. I dont feel like saying the exact same thing over and over again (and no, that wasnt a reference to the latest Nelly and Tim McGraw song lol) If you would like to peruse my earlier post, I think you will see I have already well and truly put your arguement to rest. If not, this post more than does that. Other than that, no further comment from myself is really necessary. "
OK so i'm mainstream? Yer you've proved that how? The nelly tim mcgraw lol comment makes me think this is shenans, or you are a muppet.
And in true Arlem James style i finish;
'So as you can see, without any other comments necessary from myself, i have won this arguement heads down. I am right, you are wrong. The end'.

It's rare that I read a post like this, knowing full well it's intentions are to simply piss people off and get heated, hits, etc, but this one got on my tits.
So well done for that.
You're still a cunt-cake though.

"When writing this I realised I would receive negative feedback, but was unaware of the far reaching extent this would reach. My Slipknot and Metallica comments obviously hit a nerve with some readers, whose name calling and insults did nothing but discredit their arguement and prove my point. To be blunt, these users, with their moronic comments, have done nothing but continue to perpetuate a negative stereotype of their genre."
Who's the moron? Genres are defined by the MUSICIANS, not the FANS. Moron. You really don't have a clue and it's a little sickening reading all your uninformed, ass-backward perceptions of music. Just go away.
