"We have declared a bitter war against democracy and all those who seek to enact it," said Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in a tape released to the public today. Woah, woah, wait a second now. Al-Zarqawi hates democracy and freedom now? Okay, wait a second.
"They hate us because of our freedom. They attacked us because of our way of life."
-George W. Bush
"Contrary to what [President George W.] Bush says and claims -- that we hate freedom --let him tell us then, Why did we not attack Sweden? It is known that those who hate freedom don't have souls with integrity, like the souls of those 19. May the mercy of God be upon them.
We fought with you because we are free, and we don't put up with transgressions. We want to reclaim our nation. As you spoil our security, we will do so to you.
I wonder about you. Although we are ushering the fourth year after 9/11, Bush is still exercising confusion and misleading you and not telling you the true reason. Therefore, the motivations are still there for what happened to be repeated.
And I will talk to you about the reason for those events, and I will be honest with you about the moments the decision was made so that you can ponder. And I tell you, God only knows, that we never had the intentions to destroy the towers."
-Osama bin Laden, Oct 29th, 2004
"We have declared a bitter war against democracy and all those who seek to enact it,"
-Abu Musab al-Zarqawi
Am I the only one here who thinks that Bush is trying to make it sound more like they hate freedom and Democracy, even though bin Laden himself denies it? I mean, it would be perfect for him. He keeps repeating how they attack freedom, even though it's extremely obvious that they don't. He has nothing at all to back him up. The only reason people don't call him on it is because his followers trust him too much. So, bin Laden comes out and says it. "We didn't attack you because you're free." Then, to contradict bin Laden, he has al-Zarqawi say "Well we hate democracy so we're declaring war on democracy."
It's easy to say that a person said something. For instance, just the other day Munkeypants told me that she likes to pleasure herself with pickles. Presumably, she never said that, but you don't know that, right? You just have to discern fact from fiction. Do you see what I mean? I bet you that this is all some ploy by the Bush administration to make it seem more like they hate freedom and not our policies, because God knows everything America does is right.
Sorry, Mr. President. I'm not a fool.

Regardless of what Bin Laden said, al-Zarqawi's statement fits way too much with Bush's speeches.

I never realized that OBL had made these particular statements. It all makes sense now. Bush is just trying to continue American interests in the middle east when all OBL wants is for us to leave. Now, after 26 years of attacks on American interests, some of us are starting to get the picture. Bush is imperialistic, OBL is a true patriot.
Where do I sign up to fight for him, I know you all do.

No I'm not just realizing it. Just taking it in stride, you see. I can't call all his bullshit at once. That would cause a bullshit attack, leaving me hospitalized for a while.

Relatively speaking, freedom and democracy tend to go hand in hand. You know, buy one get one free.
