While taking photos of this beautiful senorita in Tejas, this song played over and over inside my head. I have many photos of her, these are the ones she allowed me to publish. She did not wish to shame her family...or anger her man. He was an interesting man, outlaw thru and thru. His eyes were polished steel, he was mestiso and wild. He did indeed live in the valley of the gun.
I wish them well and it is my hope that their lives do not play out as does the song.
~May they have many babies and long happy lives full of tortillas and chile verde, far away from the valley~.
