This 'gay' stuff isn't adding up to me. All of a sudden everyone is gay. It's okay to be 'gay' and I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden there is this huge gay community everywhere. When I was younger I didn't know what a gay person was. I feel that being gay is being pushed on people.
I see the way little boys are being emasculated. Have you seen the cartoons as of late? I mean what the fuck is this bullshit? The 'girl' is the leader as the little boy is either an idiot or a sissy. Plus a man that is strong or 'manly' is demonized as evil.
What is this shit? We were having this lecture in my sociology class about gender roles and how in this day and age the roles of men and women have changed. I never thought about it but 'yes' it has. I don't really buy this 'gay' shit. I really don't. I know some people are born gay with a chemical imbalance or that they are people who had more female chromosomes but were still born with male parts or vice versa. Or else they might be transgender. (Like the "girl/boy from this season's Real World)I don't mind that. Be 'gay' by all means. Do whatever you want.
I'm speaking of what I feel is the cause of this big abundance of 'gay' people all over the place and where I live. I think it is a form of socialization that has been brought on by a couple of factors. Single motherhood for one, the media, and the fact that people in this day and age are fucking 'boundless'.
Single motherhood in my eyes is the reason that so many kids are messed up across the board. I was raised by my mom from age 15 on up after my dad died. So I was partly raised by a single mother. The big difference was the fact that my mom did not have me or my brothers out of wedlock. She was a married woman. Also she didn't try to emasculate us as men when we were younger. I feel that if you look up a lot of the 'new' gay people they come from single parent households. I'm not talking about anywhere besides the U.S. because I have seen this trend. I have a friend who was raised by just his mom and he has all these 'emotions' and 'feelings' that I was shocked a man would have. Where did he get these emotions from? His mother. You have boys who are being raised by a lot of feminist's, or else unfit mothers who instead of addressing the issues of a male they try to feminize him to control him or else to make him closer to her. What they are doing is making a 'man' who has female tendencies and also who may find it socially acceptable to be 'gay' because there isn't a male parent to let the child know that in their religion or whatever homosexuality is viewed by them as wrong. (Not all religions or people are like this I understand but if you are coming from a Muslim, or Christian view homosexuality is wrong. Other religions don't care like Buddhism or Judaism etc...).
So then you have a situation where there isn't a man to lay down the law. To tell the kid that 'crying' all the time isn't tolerated. That he shouldn't whine like a 'girl' or else that if he does decide to wear a dress it may be funny but the father will let him know 'not to'. Basically the father is there to make the 'boy' into a man.
I feel single mother hood is the reason for all the thugs, gangster's, and overtly emotional men that are committing crimes in this society. (Yeah, I understand that some of you had single mothers and they were great. That's awesome I did as well. But our mom's actually had some sense and weren't crackwhores). You have these overtly emotional boys that shouldn't be this emotional acting like women, being vindictive like women, having to get even to the point of killing someone like women, and also behaving and have the same desires a woman in society should have and not a man. You have men who have to be taken care of like babies. (Seen this trend a lot more in college. Guy's who have to have a girl not be his girlfriend but his mother. It's a creepy thing. These girls have to basically feed them and take care of the guy like she's his mom. Buying him clothes, working, and doing chores while he just sits on his ass perfectly content with doing nothing in life.) Who also basically act like 'women' and with no strong male socialization or influence their entire life it makes it easier for them to think being 'gay' is okay.
The media is a big reasoning in how our society is turning into shit. I will give examples in the black community, suburbs (where I'm from), also in the children. The media is what gives us the thugs that people are scared of. Like I wrote in the last paragraph, there are a big proportion of men being raised by single, unfit mothers. So, basically you have a male that is raised by an irrational, overtly emotional, drug addicted, poor, on WIC mother. This boy observes her mood swings and her manner and he himself emulates this behavior. He then becomes very emotional. His only outlet is Television and the streets he lives in. He is looking to be masculine.
It is like when we were younger and we watched "Optimus Prime, Or He-man" to show us how to be manly at that time. But this boy goes over the T.V. and he himself only see's boys and men that look like him portrayed as thugs, killers, murder's etc... This boy is going to emulate that. The kid's in the ghetto's will emulate the gangster, pimp, basketball player because those are the only positive images they are being given or else images they are given of their race, culture, and background. Without anyone to challenge those roles or tell them those roles are wrong they will succumb to that lifestyle. With the addition of shit, to nonexistent parenting that is how you get the hood rat black kid you are scared of. I have seen this happen where I grew up in the suburbs. But not just by black males but white males I grew up with as well.
The phenomenon in the suburbs where I came from was evident. It started with an influx of us going into 7th grade. In Elementary school everything was okay. But when it came to 7th grade all my friends who were either fat, geeky, teased, made fun of, or else wanted to be cool started to dress, talk, and act like thugs. It was basically 'Tupac 'overload where I grew up. When Eminem came out I can't count how many bleach blond dyed heads were in the vicinity. It was insane. Any kid who had been beaten or teased took up the "Marshall Mathers LP" like it was there holy bible. All the kids who were beaten or teased during grade school took on a "Thug mentality" that they saw from MTV. (BET did not come out to later on.) But that is what they did. They all began to smoke weed, roll around in Integra's, dress thug, baggy jeans, and Roca wear. This was funny to me because I recalled going to "chucky cheese" with a lot of these kids or else playing little league baseball together. But in a rush to be "cool" or else masculine they took up these roles.
I find the funniest thing about the situation was that these males if they wanted to be viewed as "masculine" in the society we lived in all they had to do was play a sport. The sport could have been basketball, baseball or especially football. But they did not. Scared to have their masculinity squashed or challenged in a game of football, fearing not being good enough, or the fact that the way their "acting" was already getting them at the time 'cool' points with the girls at school they did not. We all know in the high school society that the only way to be respected as a male is 3 things. Either you are 'rich' and have parties all the time, Play sports and are a big popular athlete, or else get a lot of girls. Selling drugs is a new phenomenon that went on while I was in school. A lot of kid's became 'popular' or were seen as cool because they sold bud, Oxycotin and other drugs. These guys were seen as cool 'drug dealers' (I graduated 2003). But those are the only ways to be viewed as 'masculine' or cool in that area and point in your life.
I have many friends whose parents made a lot of money who ended up talking ghetto, getting bad grades, and flunking out of high school being something that they completely were not during that time in our lives. They basically rebelled too hard trying to be 'manly' that they fucked up they're lives. These same kid's scared to get beat up in a fight would carry bats, brass knuckles, and sometimes guns in their cars scared to lose a fight or to be seen as a "Bitch" so much so that they would hit someone with a bat not fearing the consequences. I was guilty of it also while I was young. But I had a strong enough family upbringing and brothers to knock some sense into me. (Literally)
What I don't like with the children is the fact that the boys cannot be boys. This is a fact that I have seen evident in my friends younger brothers and when I go to help volunteer at schools. (I do this for my resume to apply to grad schools). The boy's that were the fattest and most effeminate seemed to come from single mothers. That is what I have noticed while working. These kids are ridiculed and teased by their peers and do nothing back but cry. I see little boy's who instead of playing on the swings or else 'hide and go seek' would rather sit with the girl's and pick flowers or else on one occasion I saw this fat kid about age 6 go over and sit with the girls during recess and help braid a girl's hair with the girls while the other boys went and played 'kick ball'. When I was younger the teacher would force me to go play with the boys thus reinforcing 'gender roles'. But the teachers here do nothing. They act as if it is quite normal. They also try and take any 'masculinity' out of the young boys. They won't let them rough house, or play rough. They are forced to basically act like kittens when hopefully one day we hope that they become "lions". This I feel messes up the young boys because they will have anger issues and also won't know how to release their anger and stress if forced to bottle it all up. This is what leads I feel to kid's that "Shoot up schools" and also a repressed state of anger because they don't deal with the issues when they arise.
The cartoons are one thing that I think is a big part of socialization. I think its utter bullshit what the kid's watch these days. Also don't give me that "parents control the kid's mind process" crap. Studies have shown that kids and people truly are about 70% a product of their environment and 30% parent's upbringing. The only way a kid can truly be raised by a parent is if that child is homeschooled and the mother or father is a stay at home parent at all times. You have all seen those kids. Shit, Malakai my roommate is one of them. He's been acting like an adult since he was about 10 years old. Can't relate or get along with people in his age group. You guys have all heard of the weird 'homeschooled kid'. My point being that most parents 'plop' there child in front of a television and walk away. Prompting the Television to watch the child and in a lot of cases raise the child. The media has gotten rid of all cartoon shows where people actually get hurt.
I saw this phenomenon when they got rid of "Looney tunes" I recall in second grade my teacher making the PTA write a letter to our local station to get rid of Looney Tunes on our local network because they had "Wiley Coyote and Road Runner" show's she felt were too violent. I recall being a kid and my friends couldn't watch those shows anymore. They couldn't watch "Married with children", or "The Simpson's" when I was younger because of the content. The premise being that my generation was the violent generation. We were raised on G.I. Joe, Transformers, Looney Tunes, Rambo, and He-man. Basically violent show's that has lead to the "Columbine incident, The Va- Tech incident and many others of school kid's shooting up schools and parents.
I think that is bullshit. I think it comes like I stated in my above argument from the feminization of men by single mothers, and mothers in general of boys who are supposed to be aggressive and logical not emotional. But the Television does have a major affect on the young. My point being what also making little "Bitch sissy" boys are is the T.V. they watch. They replaced the violence with what I feel is feminist crap. Watch any T.V. show on cartoon network, or else Saturday morning cartoons. If there is a girl character she is the masculine one. She is the leader, smart, witty, intelligent. This was done in an effort to build little girls self esteems because of the high velocity of girls who felt inferior to the boys when I was younger. I recall one of my teachers making it a point instead of saying "You guys" it was "Guys and girls" in referencing us. I think this has worked in a lot of regards with a girl's self esteem. But what they have done has made the woman masculine and the male feminine. Look at the male's in these shows and how they are portrayed. They are aloof, dumb, or witless. This goes on to show with the "Fat man, hot wife sitcoms" that has popped up throughout the years. Showing the men as lazy, incapable people who are lucky to have a wife. They are made into 'boys' while the women are seen as "WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR!!!". Next time you're with your niece or nephew watch "Kim possible", or " SpongeBob square pants (He's supposed to be gay), watch any show with your kids that has come out in the last 10 years and look for how the male character is portrayed to how it was when we were younger. They are making basically effeminate men who are in turn growing up to believe that being 'gay' is okay.
My last point is how I feel the new gay phenomenon is emerging. I feel there are people that are legality gay. They were born 'gay' have always felt that way and will. But I feel there is a majority being grown out of confused 'males' who were raised either in an unstable household with two parents or else raised in an unstable household with single mothers who instead of making the 'boy' masculine. Demonized and made any male trait that resembled that kid's father deviant and made any female trait right or else masculine. I have seen this so many times. With the fat kid who slapped his mom on the Dr. Phil show. To all the little boys I see playing with dolls, wearing dresses and though it's cute or funny to their mothers. Those boys are not being told that it isn't the historical gender role of a man. I feel that a lot of gay people are just doing it for either "attention or they are confused". These are the ones I have seen.
You guys have all known a fat girl who was disgusting. She can't get a guy or guys won't get with her. So what does she do? She turns Goth and all of a sudden "OHMIGOD!!! ROXXIXIX!! I'm totally a lesbian!" to get accepted and find a place to belong. This happens all the time especially in the teenage years.
For the guys it isn't as easy when they are in school. But when they reach college it is made more feasible because of the culture in college. Let me state I'm not saying being 'gay' is wrong. I just feel that a big proportion of gay people that are popping up all over the U.S. is strange. I didn't know what gay was until I was in 7th grade. I didn't think people did that sort of thing. I have friends up here at college who aren't gay but have kissed guys. But they aren't gay.
I think I feel that this gay acceptance though it should happen. Is being forced on us by the media I think in a lot of ways. Though it should be accepted I just feel having something that is so vehemently against the 2 major religions in the country (Muslim, Christianity all types) in a Christian nation is very hard. I feel that the emasculating males in our society are the reason for all the thugs who are killing people. These boys are trying to prove their manhood and they are all emotional with emotions they shouldn't have. Let's be honest here.
Women sometimes are irrational. They are very emotional and when they are in that mood or position they will make a decision based on that emotion. A man is supposed to be rational or logical. They may be angry at you but they won't make the decision until after they have thought about it. That is what these boys aren't learning, Kid's that are gay, effeminate, or the thugs. They don't' have men to show them how to be logical. They are just pretty much big strong, emotional women, trying to prove their manhood in all the wrong ways.

Alright, you have quite a few valid points, but the way you write it, you sound like an incredibly bigoted person. I'm hoping you aren't, because we have enough of that in society.
Personally, I think the problem is that kids aren't beaten enough. Harsh, but punishing children establishes both a respect of parents and authority and that there are consequences for actions. Kids who aren't punished for wrongdoings come to believe that their actions are acceptable. Or, if a punishment isn't severe enough, it may be worth it to do wrong and take the punishment. From these ideas kids become arrogant and very self-centered. They come to believe that their shit is the most important and that they are always right. This is not only obnoxious, but it makes for a horrible person in the future who will leech off of society, get fat, and make everyone around them miserable.

I'm glad to see that you don't actually use money as a gauge of worth, though accomplishments aren't much better. As it is on here, even in real life there will be people who shrug their shoulders at accomplishments, regardless of how impressive they may be. My point is, like money, respect is a quantitative, tangible thing, though it may not seem like it. People can give it, and they can take it away, and oftentimes you'll find that they take it when you feel you still deserve it. It CAN go away. The question you might need to ask yourself next is, "How much of that respect do I need?"

Alright, mixed_metaphor.
I don't value myself in dollars. I have learned that money without respect means nothing. I did not choose a medical career based on the money that I plan to make in the next what? 6 years of schooling I will be involved with.
I at first used to want to be a lawyer. But after working at a lot of non-profits and seeing the condition and the low value that people in the law field had for life, honesty, and decency I could not be a lawyer anymore.
So I spent an entire summer volunteering at hospitals, building houses, working for medical lawyers etc... . I found that I like the peace of mind of being a Doctor and helping out people that are sick, hurt, and in pain.
My mother was a nurse, my brother is a Doctor, plus my family and friends come from that field. Seeing their lifestyle as well as how passionate they were in there lives made me feel that I wanted that life.
I'm a very selfless person who spends much of my time helping fellow people in any way I can. I build houses for Habitat for Humanity, volunteer at a hospital as a CNA; also I work as a volunteer under a knee doctor on my spare time as well. I know I won't see a fucking 'dime' until six years from now.
I'm okay with that. It isn't about money at this point in my life. I don't care to impress anyone. I feel that respect is worth more than a BMW, or a BENZ.
I have friends who drive Corvettes, BMW's; BENZ's and they are already in the rat race straight out of college trying to make money anyway they can. Living their life on a respect meter of material things that they feel validates them in society as well as makes them happy.
I know that is all bullshit. Money does not make happiness. Money doesn't mean anything. Plus anyone that respects 'money' more than accomplishments is a douche bag you do not want to deal with.
I have friends who brag that "My dad is worth 10 Million dollars". These kids's look like utter tools because they are empty with no accomplishment. What to do they do you ask? They end up being coke whores all over So-Cal and Nor Cal. I see it all the time.
I have worked all different forms of Jobs. I like the medical field because I have always liked helping people. It would be nice to save their lives as well. I don't mind the fact that I will be living in an apartment, walking and studying for the next 6 years. Who gives a fuck really? Either I work or I go to school and work on the side for the next 6 years.
I choose the latter.
Money doesn't mean a fucking damn thing. It's all about respect in society.

An undergraduate degree means nothing to me. Any graduate school in the country is more selective than your pre-med undergrad program.
This, although you will likely never know, you may take at my word.
And any doctoral program, which I have also been through, doubly so.
I promise you, unless you are deeply involved in a drug cartel or other crime syndicate, you do not make more money than I do. More's the pity, since you seem to measure the worth of yourself and others in dollar amounts, which is a petty view to take.

Were I your campus mental health specialist, so that I could witness your inevitable breakdown of values, when you realize a successful medical career is likely over a decade, and several hundred thousands of dollars, away. Does a bloated credit card statement serve as gospel proof of your lack of worth?

Shlongy- My major is pretty good right now. I like the medical field.
Sage- I did not submit this at all. I have to many 'I feel' and things of that nature that is a big mistake in writing a very important paper.

Dude, I have to say that when I grew up we really didnt watch much tv, the sprectrum of cartoons that I watched consisted of Looney Toons, Garfield and friends, He-man, GI JOE and Tom and Jerry. Whats insane is that these days those cartoons would be considered "adult" because they have adult overtones. for instance the characters smoke ciggarettes, shoot each other with guns and are looking to hurt each other on a regular basis. I LOVE those cartoons. The popular kids cartoons these days seem to be geared towards the silly more than the funny. I personally LOVE Spongebob and I think alot of the humor on that show is geared towards adults. But the rest of the lineup on Nickelodeon is sickeningly innocent. The jokes seem to be so fucking PC that they lose any semblence of comedy. They are jokes written by people so afraid to insult anyone (i.e. Women, different races, gays...) that the only targets left to write about are white males. People need to fucking lighten up. It seems like we as a culture are reverting back to the 50's era, when people never looked at the darker side of life. They ignored it and just pretended everything was ok. We have Ryan Seacrests clean cut pussy metrosexual ass dressed perfectly, yukking it up as an announcer on a fucking national karaoke contest (very Ed Sullivan of him), and a nation thats so PC they cant formulate or express a real opinion about what they think on any tangible topic, afraid that someone may consider them unruly. Seems like were on our way back to an era when a friday night date means that two people go to a drive in and share a milkshake with two straws, and dont fuck until they are married. FUCK THAT. I want to be unruly. I want to be edgy. The funniest thing about the 50's was that the percentage of gay to straight people was the same! The amount of sexual deviants was the same. I don't like the fact I feel that the media and those who run the media that happen to be 'gay' in hollywood, writers, artist's etc.. They are making something that is 'deviant' not and trying to make it seem okay.
So much so that you have people that aren't gay being socialized in a view where being gay is okay. These are the people that experiment. I feel the media nowadays is slowly emasculating 'men' and giving them this gender reversal from a young age so that when they get older they won't have a problem with 'gay' people. It starts from cartoons all the way up through the T.V. and media to make it okay.

gay people have always existed. genetically it's about 5-10% of the global population. it always really has been. scientists find homosexuality in other species and in other primate species. it's not rare, it's not unnatural, it's just got a smaller population but it's always been there. otherwise the bible wouldn't have had anything to call evil.
on top of that it will probably always be in the species because among other things, they found women in the families of gay men, specifically sisters, tend to have more children than women who are sisters of straight men. so those genes are going strong and going long in the pool.
hormones in the water don't cause it.
talking about your feelings (which you have anyway when you're human) does not cause it.
single motherhood does not cause it, as single mothers have always existed, maybe not in this culture, but widowed/raped/whored women have always existed. and if you're so worried about single motherhood, why not encourage men to stop being children after making children.

Jeannee- I don't find anything wrong with being gay. I do however feel that being gay is basically a social choice. Like I stated there are people that are born with chromosome abnormalities or else they are transgender I understand that.
But is like in 1- 10,000 births type chance. I feel a lot of the new 'gay' people are just people who want to feel loved or else fit in with a grouop. Or else if they were told that when they were younger that i isn't right for 'Timmy' to wear dresses and dress like a girl it wouldn't have happened.
I feel a lot of gay people are being created by emotionally, mental, needy mothers who are lonely and single. They decide to make there only child or son there best friend girlfriend and socialize that kid into female behavior as to not be alone.
This causes the kid have pychological issues in school, and in life because they are going agasn't the gender role as a male that is set for them with all the male hormones and testerones.
These kid's end up being the thugs that kill over nothing trying to be tough, confused men who become gay to try and fit in, and effiminate little bitches like the one in the video. It kinda pisses me off.
But I don't feel being gay is wrong. If you are born that way so be it. I just feel that it is socialization that is making all these gay people just 'pop' up out of nowhere.

Also for the record I have no problem whatsoever with the GLBT community. I think that we should be teaching tolerance...and Jeanneee I agree with you on all points you mentioned.
The fact that some people will always think it's wrong to be homosexual, however, is just as "here to stay" as the fact that some people are gay, and as bewildering as that may be to myself and other people who don't base my opinions of a person on their preferred sexual orientation, this is the world we live in and we're not going to change that.

Good points, Perk, but there has to be some balance of tolerance somewhere. Regardless of what is taught in society, THERE ARE GAY PEOPLE. As a society we should be teaching that some people are gay and some people are transgendered. Period, end of story. Some people may not "get" it, but in my opinion, it doesn't matter if someone UNDERSTANDS it or not...the fact is that some people are gay and some people are transgendered. The GLBT community is not going to go away and people need to be educated at a young age that this is the case so they're not all flabbergasted and shocked and intolerant when they become older.
I think you're being a bit narrow minded, Perk; there are still "boy" cartoons out there and also cartoons where the "boy" characters act like "boys" and the "girl" characters act like "girls".
Also, how many of those grown up movies did you watch as a kid? I know I watched a bunch of 'em, and so did my male counterparts/peers.

Sorry Sage I just have a bit of an issue with people saying, or even just implying, that there is anything wrong with being gay, or with boys baking, or girls playing with toy guns, or any other supposedly "weird" behavior.
Some people have problems with gays getting married, or serving openly in the military, or teaching in schools, or otherwise having the same rights and privileges as straight people. This is something I do not understand. I support everyone's right to his own opinion, I just happen to disagree, and I have just as much right to say so as anyone else.
There's nothing wrong with being gay. It's not a disease, it's not a perversion, it's not something people get "recruited" or "coerced" into being, and it doesn't mean that gays are going to come prey on your children. Gay is just how some people are oriented, and there's no need to be afraid of it. If you don't understand or agree with homosexuality, that's fine. No one is asking you to like it. Just don't use your own fear or lack of understanding as an excuse to treat others as if they were freaks.

I think my point is that we as people handle the socialization of the young. What we tell them they know. The fact that they are actviely trying to make something that is seen as 'deviant' by the society not anymore kind of urks me.

Because their single mothers had them because no one loved her. So she decided to make her son her bestfriend and girlfriend. Thus making the boy end up though not 'gay' but thinking being homo is feasible and 'ok' if it happened.

sage- I totally understand whree your coming from. But those movies, shows, are regulated to the older people. Basically people 15 and up.
I'm talking about kid's that are being taught to back muffins, and cookies like little girls instead of being told to go outside and play.

I feel like this being 'gay' shit won't have been stopped if when Jimmy was wearing a dress instead of his mom taking pictures and saying he looked 'cute'. His dad was there to tell him that boys don't do that.
There are many things as a child I would have found okay if my parents didn't tell me it was wrong. Like doing drugs. If I smoke a ciggerate at age 11 and no one says its wrong. That may lead me to harder stuff. If I know that this is considered 'deviant' behavior I'm going to think twice about it.
I just feel that single mother hood is championed when it needs to be looked down upon.
Girl's should not be getting medals for having babies out of wedlock.
This all goes into the thug mentality in the youth today, and also the effeminate boys who aren't gay but are total fucking pussies. Who if they do find girlfriends find people who treat them like boy's and not girlfriends. These people grow up wanting people to be there mother.
All these people lead up to rage infested men who have mood swings like woman. Which when they get violent gets taken into irrational behavior and rash deciscions that they regret. I.e. shooting people, or doing something stupid because they feel the world treated them wrong.
If they were men and socialized like men. They would have learned either fight the guy, get over, or don't bitch. Because they are effimnate they end up fucking shooting up the entire school in there emotional rage.

I didn't read all the way through this, wading through your inane babbling. the first time you "reiterated" your main point I bailed because in the past one of the things that drove me nuts about your page upon page manifestos was just how utterly repetitive and boring they were.

Eh, have points, Perk, but I'm going to have to respectfully disagree.
I'm sure the environment boys were raised in may have something to do with the fact that they're gay but I dont know that it's fair to pin that on a single mother (or the populace of single mothers, for that matter). Maybe there's something to your conjecture...but I'd have to see something a bit more scientific than just that. Most of the single mothers I know do the best they can with respect to raising their children...my sister is a single mother of three boys and at 24, she's a bit immature (and crazy) but she's still a "good" mom. And her children have regular visits with their grandparents and fathers (yes, plural).
Also, I've seen ZILLIONS more movies where it's "funny" to tell a woman to shut the fuck up or where it's manly and cool or whatever to be otherwise completely disrespectful to a woman and/or disregard her opinion, and it's disgusting to me. If I didn't like penis so much I'd be fucking girls by now...it seems like these "men" who THINK it's funny and cool to completely disrespect women are more common (in every sense of the word) than those who respect and/or admire women, yet these men are regarded by the less respectful men as pussies.
Now, I'm by NO means a feminist (actually I can't stand those bitches), but I am a woman who won't stand being completely disrespected by some dude who thinks its funny or cool to tell me to shut the fuck up or tells me my opinion doesn't matter because I'm female. I dont think my education makes me better than anyone, but I have worked too damn hard to get where I am to put up with some insecure little bastard who can't handle the fact that I'm actually educated and successful, and who has to put me down to feel better about his lack of security in himself or his education or career or whatever the fuck the case may be.
So, Perk...I gotta say that while some cartoons may showcase the female as the crazy leader and the male as the emasculated dummy/peon, there are far MORE societal influences that showcase the opposite behavior.
