"This video is not available in your country."
Wth youtube? I'm not even in China! As long as you're not living in capitalist America, you're considered communist?

You know, the Shubert version of "Ave Maria" might be better, but it's so overdone. I can't decide. Doesn't matter. I'm going with AC-DC's "Let There Be Rock." And that's the final word.

"Autumn Leaves" is a much-recorded popular song. Originally a 1945 French song "Les feuilles mortes" (literally "Dead Leaves") with music by Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert, English lyrics were written in 1947 by the American songwriter Johnny Mercer. It has become a pop standard and a jazz standard in both languages, and as an instrumental. - Wikipedia
all these years...damn

Ah...Autumn Leaves. Yeah. That didn't take long. The Nat King Cole version is great. There's even a better version sung by a guy who was in Duke Ellington's band, but his name eludes me right now. It would have taken less long but my daughter insisted I watch while she shows me how long she can hold her breath. It would have taken a little bit longer, but she started laughing while attempting this feat.
What a shitty game was on TV tonight.

I'm pretty sure there's a Johnny Mercer song that might be the best song ever. I'll play around with Google and get back with you soon.

Actually, it's a toss-up between "Ave Maria" and "Learn to Swim" by Tool. I should credit Maltese for introducing me, sort of, to that song. Strange, the seemingly small but significant impacts Uber has had on my life.
No...not strange. Pathetic, I guess.

Didn't click it, but the best song ever is probably Ave Maria (the Gounod version). And I'm not even a Christian...not, at least, in the religious sense. I do, however, love commas. Now what would be cool is this: Your little link there takes me to a video of someone with outstanding singing capability singing that sublimely beautiful song. That would be, as I said previously, cool.

PS. You're still a douchebag, but probably not as big of one as oathmeal.

It's music. In 10 or 20 years you'll look back at it like it's hair metal and you'll hate yourself for listening to it. And 15 years after that, your kids will love it.
--------------
If you really love music then none of this is even close to true.

That is a cool song. My ex-wife and I were arguing the other day on whether or not they sampled Pachebel's Canon in D for that.
I say yes.
--------------------
I say yes too, but that's easy to happen considering the simple harmonic structure of Pachelbel's Canon. I think how this song lends itself to the similarity between it and Pachelbel's Canon stems from the pizzicato ostinato figure that's occurring. The texture and the repetition for me bring to mind the Canon more so than the pitches being used (which, though very similar, are different from Pachelbel's Canon, which I think is where your wife is coming from).

You guys crack me up...it's like some contest for who has the password to indie acceptance.
"I like this song because it's deep."
"Yeah, that's alright, but here's this guy that everyone has heard of and I knew about him first so I'm the fucking coolest."
It's music. In 10 or 20 years you'll look back at it like it's hair metal and you'll hate yourself for listening to it. And 15 years after that, your kids will love it.

Liked the song
Had to laugh at the alto sax solo
Hated the clip. Blunt, didactic rubbish.
This is the music that is currently making me come:
