We all make mistakes. We have regrets, but inevitably learn that regret without personal growth is stagnancy.
It may be difficult to bear folly which tears at the very fabric of an inhabited reality. Suddenly the person reflected back at you no longer exists, and all that ever did exist resides in a shattered heart.
With a spade in hand, I cracked mantle and tore deep in to the very depths of my own inferno, a personal hell, with absence as my sole tormentor.
As any parasite would upon destruction of a habitat, quickly we become attached to new host bodies and construct new realities, and new relationships.
Time passes, and things inevitably change.
Making peace with that which has deceased is a day to day struggle. Control is minimal, as thoughts pervade idle moments, and long restless nights seem to crack listlessly in to dawn.
Our actions define our character. What is in our hearts is inherently interior, and can only be expressed to a certain degree; frustration ensues.
I suppose people can only say what they feel and grow accordingly, regardless of selfish desires for closure; ones own feelings are of no worth in the face of an overwhelmingly adverse reality.
Sometimes we fall short of attaining the very standards we set for ourselves, and in doing so regret retiring moments which seem to command the ebb and flow of life beyond our current control and discretion.
Giving up is rarely the right choice, but knowing when to give up is equally important.

If your point is that reading this was like watching a dog chasing his tail, then I do see your point, and am not going to refute it.
I'm aware that these problems are only as permanent as my mindset, and in the grand scheme, are just portions of the insignificant plight of another imperfect creature.
It may be difficult to understand or relate, however in many ways writing to me is like shouting underwater, and the therapeutic value of unleashing my inner demons on to a page is more than validated through my disposition and personal insight after the fact.

Okay. There are many problems with this. Perhaps too many for me to address. But, lucky you, I've had some beer and I've had some whiskey, and more pertinently, the menu thing on my tv is not working and I am: (1) too lazy to look up the programming guide on the internet, and it's usually wrong anyway; (2) I forget what number 2 is; I think it was...oh yeah...there's not likely to be shit on anyway.
I thought I might expend the time and effort to tell you what's wrong with this piece. Now, I'm not an English professor. But I used to be married to a woman who was, for a short time after we were married, a professor of political science, even though she never finished her dissertation. Actually, the poor woman couldn't write at all, but she knew whom to fuck. Goodness, I digress. Still, I wrote some of that woman's term papers. You believe that shit? I mean...I wasn't even a Political Science major. Never was. Oh...that brings me to another point. Where the fuck do those people get off calling it Political *Science*? Huh? Tell me that, genius. There's no fucking science in politics. Now, I grant you, a political "scientist" might study and use a lot of statistics, which is something a lot of scientists use. But so do fucking pollsters. Does that make pollsters scientists? I think not. Hell, most statisticians don't call themselves scientists. Statistics are a tool for scientists, although not a necessary one. It depends on the fucking discipline. Do you see my point? Jesus. Fucking scientist. Christ. Christ...that woman. I tell you what.

Life is nothing without introspection and development. How can one be expected to grow from mistakes without analyzing and understanding the causes at their very roots?
Perhaps you missed the point of the post, which I admit was rather cryptic. Simply put, this is not a complaint, rather a means to realization. Sometimes by the end of a piece of writing I may find a layer of truth I am willing to accept.
Please keep that in mind next time someone forces you to read something at gunpoint that you clearly misunderstood.
