btw except for game 5, the habs didn't dive all that much.
like i said a lot of boston fans complain and bitch for nothing. if zdeno chara cut a player's legs with a chain saw, bruins fans would still call for diving. americans don't know much about hockey except when the goal siren goes off or a fight breaks out so its comprehensible. and the few who do understand the game still haven't gotten over that show Mike Ribeiro put on in 2004. anyway....it's quite ridiculous. just enjoy the fucking game.

there was a lot of diving AND slashing/tripping in game 5.
the matching minors were used as a deterrent. is it a good idea? i don't know.
you have to understand why Montreal players, the best power-play in the league this season, might want to dive, especially against a team so tight in defense. and why the Bruins, who are a lot larger in size might want to intimidate the young, tiny and largely european Habs.
i really thought Game 6 was going our way with Koivu back in the lineup. he was great that night.
despite the bruins having the momentum, i think the habs have a pretty good chances. with koivu back, there is more than the kovalev line to watch. we have home ice advantage and our fans are the loudest. plus, the habs have swept the bruins for 11 games in a row and haven't lost more than 3 in row this year so there's no reason why they should lose again...at least, i hope so :-|

ah yes, complaints about diving...how novel.
you see, i hear the same whining from canadiens' fans. of course, by "fans", i mean fucktards and dumb bitches who don't know shit and only watch the playoffs to get on the bandwagon.
problem is, you can only dive so much, being ground for a minor penalty and all. this isn't soccer. in the end, referees are not perfect but it balances out for both teams.
it's funny though when you go on bruins internet boards and see fans complain about diving when there are clear offenses. i guess that's what happens when a sport isn't too popular and you get a lot of ignorant douches as mentionned above.
it's an old rivalry. you can make it fun instead of being a retard.
anyway...regardless of who wins, this series has been great. especially last game. people were fucking nuts in the pub i was. at least we got a consolation when GSP won though that was no great suprise. the bruins not being swept by the habs is one. :-(
now i'm so excited i barely got any sleep last night and i woke up to pray a couple of times.

novel, maybe not, but legitimate, most likely. there were at least two occasions in game 6 when they whistled montreal for a diving penalty and gave out a non-matching minor for tripping/slashing to the guy who supposedly tripped/slashed the divee. I fail to understand how you can call diving yet still get the other guy.
if this is going to be the standard, what is to prevent a player/team/league from diving at every opportunity? worst case scenario you get 2 mins of 4-on-4. yet the majoirty of the time, you luck out and go on the PP.
this series has been great. game 6 was probably the most emotional energetic game i've ever seen in person. they kept showing neely on the jumbotron getting as excited as the fans were. pretty special.
