Those baby slings kick ass. You can also now get them where they strap across your shoulder and baby lies flat (kinda like a record bag). We used both kinds. It is so cute when they are old enough to go front facing.
Seriously, we used it constantly for about six months, a blessing when you do the housework. It doesn't make baby clingy but forges a real special bond.
My boy turned 1 a few days ago. We had to buy his first pair of shoes and some reigns the other day. They grow waaaay too fast.
