Let's say for a minute that you did something that you thought was the biggest mistake of your life. It involved somebody else and undoing it would be a little more complicated than simply reversing your course of action.
What would you say?
How would you undo the pain and suffering you've caused yourself and everybody else? How would you make the one person you've ever truly loved understand the way you really felt? Would you ever be able to convince them and if not, would you ever be able to deal with the pain involved with letting them go?

to and extent you are right but lets take it beyond this website lets say that everything we create within this world means something to us, correct? Ok then lets say that that meaning is solely (or at least should be) based on our own true feelings for the peice and not how others view it or what they say about it.
Yes when negative things are said or people act childish it can hurt and cause feelings of self doubt but to feed into those feelings is simply ludicrous because what you are saying is 'I am what you say I am' (to quote Marshall Mathers) and frankly you don't seem to be that insecure little girl/guy that fits into that profile.
Now the choice is yours, revel in this imposed feeling of...well frankly...crap or simply ignore the nehsayers. what are you truly looking for....glory...fame...or constructive criticism which should have no bearing on how you truly feel

I try to not get pissy at people's negative reactions to my posts, what bugs me with this is Sico is annoyed because I didn't adore him, show him my hole, lap it up and ask for more and so he has decided that I need to be "taken down a peg or two" instead of just ignoring me back.

But on a more serious note, sure, this is a website, and an online competition I'm only in the final for because of an extremely high rate of forfeiture, a bye, and some luck. By which I'm trying to say; a competition that nobody cares much about, and so I probably shouldn't either.
But it's actually perfectly understandable (even if extremely silly) to get upset about reactions on this site, because what I'm posting here is, even if it's not fact, highly personal. It's my art, my creation, and several other namby-pamby ideas as well and as such, I care about how people react to it.
If I didn't care, then there would be absolutely no point in posting anything.

You say what you feel - but you only say it AFTER you strip away the layers of emotion, insecurity, defensiveness and other remnants of hurtful memories. Those layers build up over the years to become perception filters. How do you know what you are going to say is going to cause the other person pain? You don't. But your filters make it seem that way and, as a result, they freeze you in your tracks. Once you strip that shit away, you calmly and confidently realize that you need to satisy and protect yourself. Then you realize that, if your actions actually do cause pain to the other person, then so be it = AND you will help them through it as best you can.

i spoke to my ex/husband whatever he was last night. eventually one or both of you gets over what one or both of you did if either of you have any sanity. i figure another five years maybe i can talk to him completely without issues. at the same point i'm hoping i never really have to talk to him again. either way it works i guess. you both get over it eventually, there might be nothing you can do though except hope it dulls.
