A one-minute clip on the Comedy Network in Canada (which was probably stolen from Comedy Central in the U.S. like everything on that station) containing a conversation between an owl and a man is now my favorite show. If you haven't seen it yet, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz4oXxcHKmo

I am not sure why The Owl and the Man is so funny. It is funny in an absurd sort of way, but of course a huge load of crap on the Internet is an attempt to be funny in an absurd sort of way and is just random attention-seeking (I know I've participated in that, unfortunately.) So if anyone has any theories on why this (and other funny/absurd) things are different, I'd like to hear.

I believe the clip is actually a commercial for the station's respective websites or something like that, but I found a weird website on the Internet that seems to indictate that there will be more: http://broadband.thecomedynetwork.com/pub2/datafeed/pubsetservice.aspx?sid=50. Apparently part two is a prequel! I can't wait until they air them.

Maybe it is a sign of the state of the REST of television that this is so funny, but I'm not going to get into anything like that.

When you're a man and you can't sleep, it's good to have a friend that's an owl.

'Do you have any cookies?'

>'No, I'm an owl.'

That's a plus one right there.

I think you need a satellite or some special deal. Canadian TV has lots of channels that parallel American stations and get most of its shows from those. Like the Comedy Network to Comedy Central, Teletoon to the Cartoon Network. The same goes for our "low-channel number big stations" (sorry, I don't know what the hell you call them.) CTV here plays lots of ABC shows. Global plays lots of Fox shows, etc.

Do you guys get Adult Swim/Cartoon Network up in Canada? cause Frisky Dingo and Metalocalypse are the best shows on television.
