Iraqi insurgency - America's Fault?

Thanks to what can only be described as gross incompetence, or total collusion I'd have to fucking say so. I'm all for pulling our troops out, even if you want to call it cutting and running.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/05/AR2007080501299.html

"Petraeus reported that about 185,000 AK-47 rifles, 170,000 pistols, 215,000 pieces of body armor and 140,000 helmets were issued to Iraqi security forces from June 2004 through September 2005. But the property books contained records for 75,000 AK-47 rifles, 90,000 pistols, 80,000 pieces of body armor and 25,000 helmets."

So that's 110,000 AK-47 rifles, 80,000 pistols, 135,000 pieces of body armor, and 115,000 helmets missing. Glad to see that we've thoroughly armed those about live a very short and bloody life at the hands of our army. 110,000 AK's are certainly a step up for a bunch of camel humping sand nigras, but as long as we're throwing around precision guided munitions like Shlongy's wife and her panties at a Whitesnake concert, they haven't a chance in fucking hell.

I also love how the article adds this:
"During the Bosnian conflict, the United States provided about $100 million in defense equipment to the Bosnian Federation Army, and the GAO found no problems in accounting for those weapons."
LOL White people can be trusted with weapons! Tell me, when is racism NOT funny?
And who could forget...
http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/01/30/iraq.audit/
We've "lost track" or "misplaced" 8.8 billion dollars. Just to put that in perspective that's 8,000,000,000,000 pennies, or enough to span FatTony's waistline if laid end to end.
---
It might just be me, but I tend to think that 8.8 billion dollars and a hundred thousand plus machine guns are a major element of the insurgency. So, are we as a country the equivalent to that Oatmeal guy (i.e. so retarded that someone should tie us to a tree and beat us to death with a shovel) or are we the evil empire that ETS spoke about?*
*until the CIA greased him and wrote a farewell-ubersite-I've-got-sand-in-my-vagina-post.

The coalition should just get out of there and leave a note: "If Allah was truly on the muslim`s side and against the infidels? would all this have happened? would you be the most backward culture on earth? Without oil, you'd be nothing more than camel fuckers in tents."

The Iraqis should be expected to hold themselves to a higher standard. The reasoning for this is becasue about 30 years ago, before Saddam Hussein came to power, Iraq was a VERY prosperous, educated, and developed country. What happened in those 30 years? Did everyone just develop Down's Syndrome? Theres no excuse for them to be as fucking stupid as they are. ITs obvious that prior to the 1980s, they were a very dignified nation. So why can't they be dignified again?
==============================================

What happened in those 30 years? Are you fucking kidding? In those 30 years, a whole generation was raised under a brutal dictatorship, and as a result that generation has almost none of the experience required for running an open, civil society.

And as far as pre-Saddam Iraq being "a VERY prosperous, educated, and developed country," let us not forget the two Western powers that were instrumental in bringing all that to an end.

The war wasn't planned well, but it's easy to Monday morning quarterback.

It's not a football game. It seems a little trivial to compare the bungling of Iraq with Rich Kotite's Jets.

If the Iraqis weren't completely inept we would have seen progress by now, but they couldn't find their assholes in a house of mirrors.
===
lol, the idiot blames the iraqis for not doing what he expected.
i think jack has a problem with life and reality.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And I think you're a fucking waste of carbon.

Jack is correct in his statement. Iraqi soldiers AND civilians are completely undiciplined, unprofessional, and just plain stupid. I've seen them shoot off RPGs in thier own camps because they werent paying attention and just wanted to dick around and push buttons. Any retard knows "if i push trigger, weapon go boom."

As it is right now, its like country populated by primary-school students. Everyone thinks they're right, nobody wants to share, and they're constantly breaking shit or blowing it up. They have the resources to build a prosperous country, the problem is that they just want to kill eachother, mostly over the "my God has a bigger dick that your God" issue.
===
interesting.

so why would you want to "bring freedom" to such people? why would you commit so much ressources to "free" a country without dignity?

tip for the slow: a nation crippled by dictatorship and poverty is likely to have a lot of retards.

you and jack are the same kind of people who say : "why can't africa solve itself, yo? wtf, it's simple!"

you know what i think? i think americans have no accountability. you were all so gung ho for another war. don't you even remember 2002-2003? we do. when it started going bad, you blamed foreign terrorists. when it became apparent it was more like a civil war, you blamed the Bush administration. now you realize that whether you stay or not, nothing good is likely to come out of that place anytime soon so you throw the blame on iraqis. a people whose quality of life has been trailing the world for quite some time now.

i'll tell you what. how about you quit whining and finish the fucking meal you asked for, you fucking babies? you broke everybody's balls for this war. did you really think this war was gonna be all about glory and pretty pictures? of course you did.

now that you realize that it isn't the case, why don't you collectively stfu and finish what you started? thanks.

Does your computer do long division?? I just checked on my own computer, and 8,000,000,000,000 pennies ( divide this by approximately 100.00 to get dollars ) amounts to eighty billion dollars, not eight billion dollars as you claim.

Still, it's an impressive number, Adam, and you should be proud of coming up with something like that. Probably you and Steve Hawking are the only people who work with these kinds of figures routinely, and my hat is off to both of you. It took considerable daring on my part to enter this startling quantity into a computer!

It's your calculation, not your uh, whatever, that persuades me you're a real red-blooded American. Excellent. +2.

110'000 AKs, 30 rounds a magazine = 3.3 million rounds = 3.3 million chances to kill someone. Thats a BIG old fuck up

=================

psssssh

Consider that the ruggedness of the AK allows it to have an effective lifespan of 30+ years, and you've got a whole shitload more chances to kill someone.

Oddly enough some 350,000 AK-47's were bought from Bosnia and are the weapons in question, so we're talking about weapons that have already seen ~300,000 deaths in a war.

On a related note, remember when it came out about the cost of stuff used in the White House? How much was a toilet seat supposed to be? It was something ridiculous like several hundred dollars.

It's not a war that's meant to be won.

Back in Vietnam, we had a code of conduct that was well-known to the enemy, that allowed them to exploit the gaps and loopholes in the code to prolong the war. It wasn't meant to be won or lost, just sustained as long as humanly possible.
